I’m super excited about sharing these awesome DIY Pomegranate Bath Bombs with you. There’s a huge Bath Bomb craze going around at the moment and I’ve decided to join in on the madness, because why not? I like pretty looking things and I rather enjoy smelling good. Also bathing on a daily basis is not too bad either, so that’s a plus. Speaking of pretty looking things, keep reading for a nifty freebie at the end of this post. Hope you have as much fun making these DIY Pomegranate Bath Bombs as I did!
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup baking soda
½ cup corn starch
½ cup citric acid
½ cup Epsom salt
2-4 tbs essential oils (Pomegranate and Jasmine oil)
1 tsp water
Pink, blue, yellow, purple food colouring
First add all your dry ingredients together and mix well. Add essential oils slowly. Start off with 1 tbs of Pomegranate and 1 tbs of Jasmine. Add an extra spoon of each oil only if needed. Then add the 1 tbs of water slowly, and use your whisk to mix thoroughly and quickly. Be sure not to let the bi carb and water react to each other.
Before colouring your mixture, divide into separate bowls. Again be sure to add one drop off food colouring at a time so that the liquid does not react to the powder.
When you happy with each colour add 1 tsp of glitter into each bowl. I used the corresponding colour glitter with each colour but this isn’t necessary, any colour is suitable. (Please, with tears in my eyes, I ask you to please purchase body glitter or edible glitter, let’s not kill all the creatures in the ocean!)
Once you’ve filled all your molds, make sure you really compress everything very well. Place them in the freezer for 4-5 hours, or leave to dry overnight.
And there you have it folks, Pomegranate Bath Bombs. The smell is something out of this world! Check out this video of the Bath Bomb in action:
